Work Experience

If you have work experiences, it is indeed very helpful to find a job in the UK after graduation. However, don't worry if you haven't got one.  Go out to find some paid or unpaid internships, part-time jobs in the area of interest to accumulate job experiences. Your work experience is best able to prove that you have the skills required such as managing others, self-managing, digital and budgeting.

If you want to become a qualified account in the UK, you need to obtain a professional accounting qualification certificate, which are:

  • ACCA: Association of Chartered Certified Accountants qualification;
  • CIMA: CharteredInstitute of Management Accountants certificate;
  • AAT: Association of Accounting Technicians qualification.

Employer

For graduates of accounting and finance, employers are generally public companies such as accounting firms, commercial banks, investment banks, insurance companies, building associations, management consultants, and so on.

The most prominent graduate recruiters are large multinational accounting firms, such as Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, Ernst & Young or known as "The Big Four".
